Land of 1000 lakes? Try 100,000. And about a third of those are in Finnish Lapland, including Lake Inari, the so-called Sámi Sea. The wilderness of Lapland is also crisscrossed with rivers great and small. In winter, most rivers and lakes freeze solid, making them perfect for skiing, ice-fishing and snowmobiling.
