Directed by Jalmari Helander, Sisu is a WWII action movie set in northernmost Lapland. When a fearless ex-soldier discovers gold in the Nazi-occupied wilderness of Finland, he must fight, maim and kill to get his loot home. Helander came to Utsjoki in autumn to capture the stunning colors and mood.

The film’s cast includes Jorma Tommila (Big Game, Rare Exports), Aksel Hennie (White Wall, The Cloverfield Paradox), Jack Doolan (The Boys) and Mimosa Willamo (Aurora, Deadwind). The film premiered at the TIFF, with worldwide distribution in 2023.
